Center of Excellence to support growing local market interest in next generation OSS platforms.

Reading, UK and Moscow, Russia. Axiom Systems, the leader in Service Fulfillment software for communications service providers, and NVision Group, a market-leading Russian systems integrator, today announced a strategic partnership that will see the establishment of an AXIOSS® Service Component Factory in Moscow.

The AXIOSS Service Component Factory will become a Center of Excellence for the offshore development of ‘building block' style components that streamline the creation and fulfillment of multi-vendor, multi-technology, and multi-play products and services.

NVision Group will work with Russian-based enterprises, communications service providers and government agencies, to take advantage of Axiom Systems' expanding library of components through the deployment of AXIOSS, its next generation OSS platform.

“NVision Group is committed to making only the very best networking technology available to our clients and prospects throughout the Russian Federation,” said Andrey Zuzin, First Deputy General Director of NVision Group. “The AXIOSS suite is market leading, both in terms of the technology platform and its deployment by many of the World's leading service providers.”

Next generation OSS platforms address the issues commonly faced in the fulfillment of new services, where the network environment consists of multiple disparate silos each with its own bespoke processes, configuration, complicated coding and require high levels of technical expertise. In this environment, fulfillment becomes a significant barrier to the delivery of new services because as the number of services deployed increases, the maintenance of complex static workflows becomes increasingly complex, costly and time consuming.

“One of the key elements of the AXIOSS suite is the component library, which provides a comprehensive range of off-the-shelf service components that can be reused and adapted by our customers,” said Minesh Patel, VP Operations, Axiom Systems.

He continued, “The establishment of the AXIOSS Service Component Factory extends this approach, and enables Axiom Systems, in partnership with NVision Group, to further diversify the number and types of components that under development.”

The AXIOSS suite is comprised of building block Components based on Axiom Systems' worldwide experience in various Broadband and IP service fulfillment projects. Each Component contains a multitude of complex workflow processes, inventory models and network interfaces required in the provisioning of multi-vendor, multi technology Triple Play networks. This approach ensures that only tried and tested re-usable components are incorporated into each new product or service, thus reducing many of the errors typically associated with network configuration and removing quality and reliability risks traditionally associated with service enablement.

The AXIOSS Component Factory in Russia will feed into Axiom Systems central component development program in the UK, which is also fed by the companies Component Factory in Bangalore, India, established in conjunction with Wipro Technologies in May 2006.
